bowling ICC announces new process for suspect bowling actions 2 Years, 3 Months ago

I thought that this article I read today may interest those posters (like me) who regularly discuss this issue. Nothing in the process overrides the responsibility of the umpire to apply Law 24 on the field of play. May help make the process of reporting sus actions easier in the future. One can only hope I guess. Larry

If it's used as designed, it should be effective. Agreed. IF being the key word. Larry

the rewporting system for chucking. Oh I do. I'm just prejudiced against committees. The more you have and the more people on them, the less gets done. I credit the administrators for realizing the inadequacy of the current system and for trying at least to fix the problem, and for trying to be fair to bowlers until a conclusion can be reached. After all, the aim is to encourage p_layer_s to play the game correctly; teachers rather than policemen. The idea looks good, I just wonder about the implementation process. Administrators are always good at creating more administration.
