Hi, Climate: At end of year daylight is from 3am to 11pm. Mountains are not very high. Temperatures are around 10 degrees Celcius. It can be rainy and windy. At night temperatures do not fall down because of daylight. Trekking: Be prepared to cross a lot of swamps. It is always raining and a lot of trecks are cross country. New Years Eve: I was in Punta Arenas about 4 years ago....and it was completely quiet. People celebrate with their families at their homes. Shops and most of the restaurants close at about 10 pm. At Torres del Paine, I found the ... In Torres del Paine, I intend to stay in one Hosteria for 3-4 days, do each day an another trek, and returning each night to the Hosteria. Do you know which of them will be the more central one (Pehoé, Les Torres, etc.)? Thank you, Marius
