Now I'll (re)introduce you to meaning when it relates to yet a third construct: _object_ive meaning. I've already given examples of this, but I think I can do better. Let's take the standard meaning of meaning as denotation. A word that you've never heard before means what it means regardless of your personal ignorance. The word has no meaning to you personally at the moment of course; you'll have to have some particular set of experiences in order for you to apprehend that meaning. But in the _object_ive sense, the word has meaning independent of your ability to apprehend it at the moment. Do you agree or disagree that a word has _object_ive meaning regardless of any particular individual's ability to apprehend that meaning at the movement? If you agree I'll move on.
